Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We had our appointment at 9:45 am. We were waiting for our interpreter on the first floor, and she pushed it till the last minute, so we went up to the fifth floor and checked in at about 9:40am. They took our appointment letter and told us to have a seat and that they would call us by name. There were about 6-8 other people sitting in the waiting area. After about 15 minutes a young lady opened the door and called my husband's last names. We proceeded to the back with her along with our interpreter.

The interviewer was nice and friendly. She asked for our IDs and filled out a page for my husband and the interpreter to sign. She then had us both stand and raise our right hands and swear to tell the truth. Then she went over the information from the I-485 that we had submitted, such as our address, his parents' names, whether he had belonged to any clubs, etc. Then she went through that long list of questions from the I-485, but she didn't go through each one ind... read complete review

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

I just have done my interview a couple hours ago, and got my update on USCIS website.
My interview went through so very easy. We got in the waitinf room 45mins before the schedule time, checked ib and waited for our name were called by the officer.
She asked me around 20 YES/NO questions, which on I485, then she asked me:
- How did we meet? When?
- When did we get marriage?
- Did we both meet our parents.
Then she asked to see my medical report, our lease, insurance and join bank account.
After all, she gave us a paper which show “NOTICE OF INTERVIEW RESULT” - she said she would recommend for approve and explain about the green card which I should receive through mail.
We both so surprise because everything looked more easier than we thought before.
So good luck to you guys, and dont worry, you will get what you should have.

My AOS scheduled interview date was May 07, 2019 at 8 am located in Federal Bldg in Cleveland. We arrived in the bldg, 30 mins early. Had to wait until the guards signal us to start entering. Be sure to have your identification card ready because the guard is gonna ask for it. Then, you’ll get through to a body scanning machine. After clearing that, we rushed to our assigned room. Got in line, waiting for our turn and signal from the person inside the window. There will be 2 windows to accommodate you for that. And when it’s our turn, I handed him our appointment letter. We sat down in the waiting area. Waited for my name to be called. Went to the first window to have my picture taken and finger print scanned. Went back to the waiting area. It took us 15 mins before the consul called my name, followed him inside and went to our designated room to have our interview started. He asked first for both of our passport, and asked us to stand to do our oath. After that, he scan... read complete review
